Hello, my name is Derrick Gaines! I am the new proud principal of Gary Adult School.
Gary Adult is a school that is dedicated to helping adult learners earn a standard high school diploma through high school credits classes or the official GED Test. Our mission is to prepare students for life by empowering them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become productive, contributing, self-sufficient members of our community.
At Gary Adult, we remind students that learning is a lifelong adventure, and that success comes from being an active participant. We foster a welcoming environment, where students will be comfortable, sharing their ideas, and stepping outside their comfort zone. School Highlights
Tuition and Fees
Tuition is $45 for a 6-month semester, plus a one-time $10 fee for initial testing.
Satellite Location
Gary Adult School has a satellite location in Palm River, which offers English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and GED courses.
What We Offer
GED Adult Basic Education
General Educational Development (GED) Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes for improving reading, math, science, social studies, and writing skills needed to pass the GED test or strengthen foundational academic skills.
High School Credits
For individuals seeking to earn a standard high school diploma. Students may complete all graduation requirements at Gary Adult or recover credits and return to a traditional high school setting.
Integrated Education and Training (IET)
Offers students the opportunity to learn valuable career skills and industry-specific trades while completing their high school diploma.
